Cookie Policy
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser. They allow websites to remember information about your visit. iograf uses a minimal number of cookies, all of which are strictly necessary for the application to function.
Cookies we use
iograf uses only essential cookies. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking cookies, or third-party analytics cookies.
| Name | Purpose | Provider | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| sb-[ref]-auth-token | Authentication session token. Keeps you signed in to iograf. Without this cookie, you would need to sign in on every page load. | Supabase | 1 week (renewed on activity) |
| sb-[ref]-auth-token-code-verifier | PKCE code verifier used during the magic link sign-in flow. Deleted after login. | Supabase | Session |
localStorage
In addition to cookies, iograf uses browser localStorage (which is not a cookie but functions similarly) to store:
| Key | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| aiDisclosureShown | Records that the AI disclosure notice has been shown to you, so it is not shown again on subsequent visits. | Permanent (until cleared) |
| cookieNoticeDismissed | Records that you have dismissed the cookie notice banner. | Permanent (until cleared) |
| dailyPromptOpen | Remembers whether the "Today's prompt" panel in the editor sidebar is expanded or collapsed. | Permanent (until cleared) |
| iograf_goals | Stores your writing goals (monthly word target, sessions per week, finish date) locally. | Permanent (until cleared) |
| iograf_professor_persona | Remembers your selected Professor persona across sessions. | Permanent (until cleared) |
| iograf_dark_mode | Remembers your dark/light mode preference. | Permanent (until cleared) |
No tracking or advertising
iograf does not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any other third-party tracking service. We do not share any data from cookies or localStorage with advertisers or analytics providers.
How to control cookies
You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Note that deleting the authentication cookie (sb-[ref]-auth-token) will sign you out of iograf. You can clear localStorage through your browser's developer tools or by deleting your account via the app settings.
