1. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account on iograf, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use iograf. You must be at least 16 years of age to use this service.

2. Description of the service

iograf is a writing application that provides a private writing space and an AI writing coach ("the Professor"). The Professor is powered by Anthropic's Claude API and provides feedback on memoir and personal writing. The Professor is an artificial intelligence — it is not a human writing coach. The professor personas (Elena Vasquez, James Okafor, Marta Lindqvist, Daniel Roth, Aiko Tanaka) are fictional characters created by iograf.

3. Your account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activities that occur under your account. You must provide accurate information during registration. You must not share your account with anyone else. We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Your content

You retain all ownership rights to the writing you create in iograf. By using the Professor feature, you grant iograf a limited licence to transmit your writing to Anthropic's API for the sole purpose of generating feedback. This licence is non-exclusive, terminable, and used only to provide the service to you.

5. Community visibility

If you choose to make a writing entry publicly visible on the community map, you grant iograf a non-exclusive licence to display that entry (title, excerpt, and location) to other registered users of the application. You can revoke this at any time by disabling visibility. You are solely responsible for ensuring that content you make public does not violate applicable law or the rights of third parties.

6. AI system disclosure

In accordance with the EU AI Act (Regulation (EU) 2024/1689), Article 52, iograf discloses that the Professor feature is an artificial intelligence system. When you interact with the Professor, you are interacting with an AI, not a human. iograf makes no warranty that AI-generated feedback is accurate, appropriate, or suitable for any purpose. AI feedback is for creative exploration only and should not be treated as professional writing instruction.

7. Intellectual property

The iograf application, its design, code, and professor persona characters are the intellectual property of iograf Ltd. You may not reproduce, copy, or distribute any part of the iograf application without our written permission. You retain all rights to your own writing.

11. Reporting illegal or harmful content (DSA Article 16)

In compliance with the EU Digital Services Act (Regulation (EU) 2022/2065), users may report illegal content or content that violates these Terms using the "Report this entry" button on community map entries.
